The world goes on. Life goes on. Death arrives.
Grief fills the mind. The sun's a wicked joke
we realize we never got. What's wise
to do we'll learn--now, the life that time broke.

"The world goes on. Life goes on. Death arrives." How complete is that; round and round it goes until it smacks us in the face. Grief fills more than the mind. It squeezes the soul and breaks open the heart. And then we have to join that world that's going on, that life that's moving onward. But will we learn what's wise to do? Will we?
